The cut and color make the mane, but lest we forget, hair accessories also have the ability to make or break the ‘do. We’ve already given you a guide to the illest NYFW hairstyles, and now it’s time to give their counterparts some attention. Below, five not-so-basic hair accessories we spotted on the runway.
Snitches get stitches, and apparently so do braids at DKNY FA16! Everything about these tied up braids by Eugene Souleiman screams cool.
Considered so last season to some, flowers as hair deco are popping up again. If done right, though—which in this case at Rodarte FW16, done so right—we say all the more reason to welcome back the trend. P.S. If that cropped ‘do makes you feel things…SAME.

Sure, it’s not the most practical, but this gaudy, gem-encrusted flower crown seen at Marchesa FW16 makes for some delish eye candy. Then again, if the world is in fact our runway, this hair accessory is practical af.
