Leave it to Milan Fashion Week to create some magical mane trends that are as over-the-top as they are cool. We always look to our beloved Italians to up the anty in the hair and beauty department, and it’s easy to say that for fall, the more extreme and out there, the more on trend the look. From decorated headdresses fit for an Egyptian queen to crimson coated strands and stylin’ ’60s ‘dos–scroll through our fave trends from Milan Fashion Week fall 2018.
Fire Red Strands
If NYFW was a sign that red was the hue for fall 2018–then Milan Fashion Week is proof that gingers are taking over for fall. At Gucci, Paul Hanlon transformed model Linda Hoss into a fiery rendition of Ziggy Stardust with a mullet dyed fiery ginger red.

'60s Flip
We've already been spotting the prim and proper '50s and '60s hair flip on Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner–but the trend fully matured on Moschino's runway where models, decked in appropriate outfits–made flipped out ends anything but prissy.

Opulent Accessories
The Italians are known for their excess, so it's no surprise they bumped their accessories game into high gear with overly decadent, jewel-encrusted headpieces fit for royalty. Gucci's array of Cleopatra-esque meets hijab headwear and Dolce and Gabanna's signature crowns definitely made their mark.

The Bob Reigns Supreme
The bob is still here in all it's short glory, proving that if you recently got the big chop, you're still on trend for the upcoming season. Model Stella Lucia even let Paul Hanlon trim her tresses backstage at Roberto Cavalli for an extra piece-y short look.
