You Use Dry Shampoo, but Do You Use Dry Conditioner?

You probably have at least three dry shampoos in rotation to save the day post-workout, on day two of your blowout, and anytime you need a pick me up. Thank the hair gods, we’ve shortened the time we need to wash our hair, and it’s all because of dry shampoo But what about dry conditioner? Conditioner is not just a key part of our shower routine, it’s “if you could take one thing with you on a deserted island” crucial. There’s no way we would dream of sudzing up without it, so why should we skip it? What’s salt without pepper? We even rounded up the best ones, so you can keep hair soft and tangle-free without having to hit the shower.

But First, What Is Dry Conditioner?

You know what regular ol’ conditioner is and you likely know what leave-in conditioner is, but what is this take on the hair product? First, it’s a dry product that often comes in an aerosolized can. While dry shampoo soaks up excess oil, sweat, and dirt, this product reduces frizz and boosts hydration. Realistically, a little will go a long way to amp up your hair’s shine.

Similarly to regular conditioner and leave-in conditioner, you’ll want to use this product from mid-length to ends. Dry shampoo is for your roots and this spray conditioner is for, well, everything else.

How Does It Benefit the Hair?

As we mentioned, this handy-dandy aersol frights frizz and adds extra moisture that may be lacking back into your strands to really condition those ends. Additionally, it can cut styling time down and even prolong wash days. That said, it can’t replace traditional conditioner. You should continue to wash your hair, though with this product, that may be less often.
