Why We Can’t Stop Thinking About The Savage x Fenty Show

Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty Vol. 2 runway show just brought sexy back.

The hour-long special premiered on Amazon Prime last week and to say we’re in awe would be the understatement of the year. With gorgeously choreographed dance sequences, ambient lighting, and sumptuous floral set pieces, the music-mogul-turned-entrepreneur gave us a decadent, touchable, portrait of sexuality that made us forget we’re in the middle of a global of a pandemic (for a little while, at least).

While the set design may have blown our mind, it’s the ultra-inclusive, superstar cast of cultural icons that really brought the whole thing home. With famous faces like Lizzo, Bella Hadid, Willow Smith, Demi Moore, Shea Coulée, Soo Joo Park, and Cara Delevingne walking the runway and musical guests like Bad Bunny and Miguel taking the stage, Fenty x Savage Vol. 2 was less of a fashion show and more of a cultural moment. A moment we all get to experience, together.

Not only was the runway show itself constructed to perfection, but each lingerie-clad look was as well. From fishnets and lace bras to silk robes and boxers, every piece from the collection has been *added to cart*. And the beauty looks– I mean, where to begin? From the ultra-choppy mullets to the perfectly plaited braids and expertly sculpted beehives, every mane moment was purposeful and perfect. Suffice it to say we’ve book marked our faves and will be copying them in the near future.

We rounded up our top 10 looks from the night below! Read on to get a rundown of the runway’s hottest moments.

1. Rihanna

The woman of the hour, the queen herself. Rihanna stunned in sultry purple bodysuit, set against florals in an image that’s evocative of the “Birth of Venus.” Her perfectly pinned braids add to the romance of this entire affair.

We’re suckers for a backstage snap. The supermodel makes pre-show prep look sexy in this matching black set and slick baby beehive.

A true top model moment. Irina Shayk owned that runway with a slicked back hairstyle and a feirce trench coat number.

Nazanin Mandi had one of the best beauty moments of the night with look right here. Her pretty, petaled eye makeup and sculptural updo stole the show (as did her sexy on stage moment with husband Miguel!).

Per usual, Demi Moore was flawless. The actress rocked her signature long raven locks and a black lace bodysuit in one of our favorite on stage sequences.
