The 2019 Billboard Music Awards were basically a cheat sheet to spring’s hottest hair trends. From our favorite cut ever (the lob), to straight and sleek Sansa and Cher hair, to romantic (and also badass) waves plus the ever-versatile pony, these celebs literally rocked it. Click through for all the inspo you need to last till the VMAs – your next stylist sesh not included.
Is the lob the cut of our time? We may have found the proportion for universally flattering, and celebs are not looking back. Riawana Capri of Nice Zero One salon cut Julianne’s fresh blunt lob before the awards, and we’re copying.
Jen is giving us all the gloss with her high-shine, super dimensional asymmetrical cut-of-all-cuts, the lob.
Amanda reigns in all those curls with this 90s-inspired side pony that we’re trying out ASAP.
On the other end of the pony spectrum is Ciara, who’s rocking hers sky-high and with wraparound-detailing, courtesy of her longtime stylist on speed-dial Cesar Ramirez Both of these ladies prove there’s no one way to pony, and we’re here for each and every one of them.
Sleek / Straight
Did Cardi have the best look of the night? Girl def knows how to work a red carpet and it doesn’t hurt that her hair game is always on point. Cardi’s living her best life at the 2019 Billboard Awards and sporting some signature Cher hair – long, dark, straight and sleek locks that would turn anyone into a diva, thanks to ultimate diva-maker Tokyo Stylez.
Sleek / Straight
Still sleek and straight, though with just the faintest hint of a bend, Sophie Turner keeps it chic and simple on the red carpet – and at her afterparty wedding!
Say what you will about her, but Taylor is definitely the princess of sweet – and that always comes out in her hair. This relaxed up-do is the definition of romantic and touchable, mostly because of the wave pattern that repeats throughout, done by mane master Jemma Muradian.
Sweet, but with a definite edge (we’re getting Sandra Dee post-makeover vibes), Halsey is rockabilly meets popstar, all because of her ultra cool pixie coils.
