Okay y’all–May is all about Moms because it’s Mother’s Day. Nobody can forget this!! This year one of my biggest nightmares came true. My own mother recently learned how to use Instagram (cringe). She now comments on every single picture of mine and it’s kind of amazing. I realized when we would talk before, she wouldn’t have a clue what was going on in my day-to-day life. And now–thanks to her newfound love and use of Instagram on a daily basis–she is up to speed and often tells me, “wow honey you have a busy life!” Lol.
BTW–I don’t know how you working moms do it! My hats off to you. Anytime I find myself complaining about my own personal work life balance and being a wife, I talk to a mom friend. And I’m quickly reminded just how much harder it is to juggle little ones in addition to our careers and PTO.
Growing up, my mom was a working mother and amazing example to me. I can definitely say I learned my work ethic from her, although I didn’t catch on to her amazing cooking, sewing, or laundry skills!! She was the type of mom to do my homework for me, make cookies for class, and get herself to work in the mornings.
Mom, if you’ve figured out how to get to this letter…I love u and yes your Dyson hairdryer is on the way!
