Mane Addicts Awards 2020

This year may have been grim, but at least there was some gorgeous glam and killer hair product launches to get us through! We’re excited to present to you the best and brightest stars in all things hair that 2020 has to offer: our annual Mane Addicts Awards!

While definitely the most unconventional year in the books, beauty was the unsung hero that kept our spirits high and our evenings occupied. From scrolling Tik Tok to try one of Justine Marjan’s latest hair tutorials to perfecting our wash-n-go skills, 2020 was definitely the year of taming to our own manes and letting our natural texture shine. Ahead, we’re detailing the best and brightest stars that lit up the year and gave us hope as we look towards a new year that hopefully brings us health, happiness and a vaccine.

Stylists + Colorists

Most Influential Hairstylist 2020: Justine Marjan

From spearheading Mane Addicts Editorial and assisting our Editor-in-Chief Jen Atkin, to slaying manes for Hollywood and social media’s most sought-after stars–you can’t deny the power that is Justine Marjan. The super stylist boasts almost 400K Instagram followers, and is an early adaptor when it comes to new social platforms like Tik Tok. In addition to slaying styles and dictating trends, Justine has her own collection with Kitsch x Justine that she designs seasonally, as well as being an ambassador for both TRESemme and Olly.

Most Influential Hair Colorist 2020: Cassondra Kaeding

There isn’t a mane in Hollywood that this powerhouse hasn’t touched! Cassondra Kaeding touts some of the biggest moguls in the world as clients, like Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Hailey Beiber, Rosalia and Miley Cyrus, to rattle off just a few. Cassondra is based in Los Angeles at 454 North Salon, but frequently traveled to New York and Dubai pre-pandemic to tend to her roster of A-list clients. She showed resilience early on in the pandemic with two strategic pivots–her CKaedingColor Kits, which she custom formulates for every order, along with her outdoor home salon that was featured on Into the Gloss Top Shelf. To top it off, she’s a Redken ambassador and you can catch some of her sought after formulas on the Redken Shades EQ boxes at Salon Centric.
