Festivals aren’t just about the music anymore; they are runways for unique styles and place to celebrate art in its many forms (including hair and fashion!).
With three days spent camping, glamping, or in a hotel, getting around to do your hair can be a tedious task, especially with limited accommodations.
Haircolorist Danny Moon teamed up with Pravana to give you a 3 day styling and inspiration guide to get you through Coachella weekend. Inspired by mood rings, Danny colored his model, Francis Lola’s hair to be multi dimensional, appearing fluid upon style and movement. With Pravana ChromaSilk temporary colors, the pastel shades can fade in the sun as the weekend closes, creating a mesh of colors by the end of day three.
The first day of a three-day festival is a great opportunity to wear your hair down (although it will probably end up up by the end of the day). Starting on clean hair, use your favorite iron to create a loose wave in the hair. Keep hair fresh with a dry shampoo to avoid excess oils.
Rattled by sand, heat, sun, and sweat, your mane might feel a little less than ideal at this point. Fishtail braids are a great way to contain loose strands, secure in your style, and still look chic if roughed up.
At this point, styling your hair will be the last thing on your mind, so something quick and easy is key! Keep your braids from the day before, but twist and pin them up into a loose chignon. The braids will add texture and movement so most of the work is already done. Just use a few French pins to secure.
