2016 is about to sneak up on us and we’re dying to know what the mavens responsible for the kick-ass manes of our favorite A-listers hope to achieve this year. So we asked, and they answered. Below, nine celebrity hairstylists on their New Year’s resolutions.
“My New Year’s resolution every year for the past three years has been to take French class! I still haven’t been, but I really want to learn French so I’m using it again for 2016!”
“My New Year’s resolution for 2016 is to learn how to separate my work and downtime, starting with not giving out my personal number to so many clients.”
“My New Year’s resolution is to become a better woman and to be more selfless.”
@jennifer_yepez celebrity hairstylist behind Belle and Gigi Hadid, Zendaya, Selma Hayek, and Keira Knightley.
“My New Year’s resolution is don’t say ‘maybe’ when you want to say ‘no.'”
@kylekriegerhair the man behind the precision haircuts and styles on Amanda Anka, Fifth Harmony, Jason Bateman and Lance Bass.
“I think this year I would tell myself that even though you love to work! And love what you do, you should also make sure to take time with your family and loved ones. Time goes so fast, and you can’t get it back.”
@ryantrygstadhair the man behind the manes of Emily Ratajkowski, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Hale and Emma Roberts.
“2015 was a great year! I’ve been fortunate to work with some amazing clients, launch my Kimble Beauty Bounce Back Curl line at Sally Beauty Supply stores and enjoy another season of LA Hair. In 2016, I want to continue to build my brand and focus on education. I enjoy education and creating an educational platform for stylists and consumers. I am passionate about hair care ingredients so there will be new products in 2016. I am also planning to meet with more consumers in 2016.”
@kimblehaircare creator of Kimble Hair Care, owner of Kim Kimble Salon, and star of LA Hair.
“My resolution is to take more vacations, and force myself to have some downtime.”
@georgepapanikolas celebrity colorist responsible for the hues on Ellie Goulding, Hanni Davis and Kelly Rowland.
“To progress is to stay open minded to new ideas.”
“In lieu of resolutions I do vision boards every year for the last 10 years with my staff. So I pick 3 goals each year.
This year I want to:
1. Finish my back yard (it looks like an abandoned camp ground for 5 years now)
2. Take a weekly class with my daughter, Cassette
3. Expand Hairroin”
@janinejarman owner of Hairroin Salon.
