NYFWM FW16: Piecey Strands at Garciavelez by Christian Ceja-Compin

Garcialevez NYFWM

The sartorial interpretation of a dip in the thermal baths of the Swiss Alps gave way to a FW16 collection by Garcialevez reflective of the designer’s background in architecture.

Soft texture

In addition to monochromatic graphic tees, showcased in the collection were a two-toned lapel topcoat and asymmetrical, leather-trimmed wool poncho.

Lead hairstylist Christian Ceja-Compin carried the show’s architecturally-driven theme into the looks he created for models, which included textured, piecey strands. Find out how to recreate the style, below.Oribe Haircare

  1. Prep hair with Oribe Foundation Mist.
  2. Spray Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray to open up the part at the hairline and create soft texture and separation.
  3. Follow with Oribe AirStyle Flexible Finish Cream (launching April 2016) to create a chunky, piecey texture.
  4. Finish with either Oribe Impermeable Anti-Humidity Spray or Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray to add lift in certain sections.
