BCBG delivers a cool, carefree Cali vibe at their Spring and Summer 2016 presentation. Bringing back the bucket hat, designer Max Azria pays homage to 90’s inspired style complete with tie-dye sleeves, Mexican embroidery, and pastel legwarmers. The unique fusion between bohemian fringe and skater street style made for fresh, upbeat, and colorful designs. To complement the quirky collection, TRESemmé’s NYFW Ambassador Orlando Pita went for classic LA waves. On what inspired the boho look, key hair stylist Orlando Pita says “I wanted the effortless cool of our Californian girl to be reflected in her hair with a distressed, wet-look wave that accentuates her hair’s natural texture. I love mimicking that moment when her hair starts to dry after a day by the water.” GET THE LOOK:
- Create a center part. Layer TRESemmé Make Waves Shaping Gel and TRESemmé Make Waves Shine Enhancing Cream, onto a 2-inch wide section of hair, twist and secure in a bun with a hair pin. Repeat until all hair is secured.
- Use a hair dryer to dry each twisted bun, or leave to air dry. When dry, unravel each bun, twisting the hair as you remove the pin to maintain loose waves
- Use a soft bristle brush to smooth the waves around the face and the mid lengths.
- Finish the look by sweeping all hair to the front and spraying TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Ultra Brushable Hairspray for flexible hold.
