The 2010s may be over but we’re not done obsessing over our favorite hair trends from the last decade. Come along as we remember our signature styles from the not so distant past and relive the biggest trends of the teens.
This insta fun style took over IG - and Coachella.
Whether you sported a braided crown, wash out glitter, or permanent neon color, changing up your look for a festival was a reason to look forward to said festival.
This hair trend started in the teens but will look good in any decade - subtle, blended layers add volume without looking like the Rachael.
With every single influencer and celeb sporting this cut at least once at the later half of the teens, this look was the signature of the decade.
Gym Ready Hair
Athleisure ruled and gym-ready hair followed - whether a low-pony or a messy bun, being on trend meant being ready for a yoga class at any moment.
Beach Waves / Mermaid Hair
Haven’t been to the beach? Not a problem. A crop of wet products and even heat stylers were created to give you beach worthy waves. And for those who couldn’t get enough of the trend, Mermaid Hair was for sure a thing.
This was the decade that bubble gum pink (and every other color) graduated all the way to the boardroom. Celebs and girl bosses alike tried out the trend, and it was never easier to try no commitment wash out hair dye.
Woke-up Like This on the Runway
At one point in 2016, every NYFW designer fiercely embraced the “woke up like this” trend. Whether stylists sent girls down the runway with freshly washed tresses and nothing else, or a ton of product and heat styling meant to look like nothing, if we could tell you tried, it was a fail.
One of the hair highlights of the decade was natural hair being embraced, championed and experimented with, with beautiful results.
Nothing says 2010s like Coachella. The baddest looks live HERE.
