This Drugstore Product Will Tame Your Frizzy Baby Hairs

As part of our series, Hair-apy Sesh, we’re asking the hair industry’s most-trusted mavens to divulge their secrets about what products get lifted from their kit, their idea of the most overrated and underrated hair tricks, plus their favorite high-price-tag and drugstore buys that confidently carry them through their bustling careers.

Angel @princeangelll, Los Angeles-based freelance and editorial hairstylist who tends to the tresses of influencers and celebs, shares the drugstore product that will tame frizzy baby hairs!

What’s the most stolen product from your kit?

No joke, I love the OUAI Texturizing Hair Spray. You can never go wrong with that bomb product.

What’s the most underrated drugstore product?

Creme of Nature Argan Oil Gel for perfect edges. I work with a lot of clients with broken hair or frizzy, curly hair. Because of the baby hairs and little curly frizzies, the least amount of Creme of Nature Gel and a toothbrush will get that hair down for the perfect ponytail.

What’s the most underrated hair hack or trick?

The faux bob. A trick most women forget is that they can braid or put the bottom half of their hair (leaving the top half out) in a ponytail, pin it to the scalp, and put your old clip-in hair extensions over. Then cut the clip-ins to your desired length. After that’s done, let down the top half of your hair, and bam—you’re rocking shorter hair. It’s an easy way to change your hair without cutting it.

What’s the most overrated hair hack or trick?

From an artist’s perspective, I would have to say beach waves with a curling iron or flat iron.

Whats one expensive product that’s worth every penny?

A wand set of all different shapes and sizes. While I am doing my clients’ hair, I like to teach and show them that they can achieve the same look on their own. With all the different size wands, the client can get creative with their hair at home. I think that it is important for a client, to feel good about how they look.

If you only had time to use one product, what would it be?

It would definitely be the Bumble and bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish. With this spray, you can literally transform flat or oily hair to another dimension in seconds.
