As the ’90’s grunge trend continues to resurface and die out again, one thing that will always remain relevant is our love for all of the classic teen angst movies that the decade brought us. And with Halloween right around the corner, we’ve decided to round up some of the best teen angst movies’ hairstyles to serve as inspo for your Halloween costume or even just your everyday lewk. From Kat Stratford to Laney Boggs, keep reading to see the best teen angst movie hair looks seen on some of your favorite rebellious adolescents.
Cecile Caldwell’s brunette mane with the flipped out ends and hair clips still stands as an iconic look for private school girls everywhere.
The Breakfast Club
The two female Breakfast Club members made Saturday detention look super chic. Between Claire Standish’s wispy red locks and Allison Reynold’s thick brown mop and shaggy bangs.
The bigger the hair the more popular the girl must have been the name of the game in the movie Heathers as Veronica and all three of the Heathers each rocked super voluminous locks.
Lisa’s short, jagged blonde bangs were so wrong that they were right in Girl Interrupted.
While Daria is the only TV series on our list, we couldn’t talk about teen angst without including the cynical teen. While she may not have been the most popular teen at Lawndale High, her thick auburn mane (and sarcastic personality) makes her a star in our eyes.

The staff at Empire Records is all about selling records without becoming a sell-out, well, one could never become a sell-out with a classic looking mane like Corey Mason’s long brunette locks and center part.
While Edward created many works of art with his scissorhands, the best look of the movie was Edward’s own wild mane.
10 Things I Hate About You
There was nothing to hate about Kat Stratford’s gelled, wet waves held up by a banana clip. The two pieces of hair that were placed in front of her face, however, made the look a ’90’s classic.
She’s All That
Laney Bogg’s makeover in She’s All That is proof that a little chop never hurt nobody. Zack Siler’s sister took Laney’s hair from a shabby, heavy mane to a layered flirty lewk.
Drive Me Crazy
Nicole may not have won Brad’s affection but she definitely won the best tressed award in our book. Drive Me Crazy is chock-full of the best styles of all teen angst movie hair looks.
