There are SO many different types of beauty oils and they are all claiming to be super-beneficial for you hair. Honestly, it’s hard to keep up, with a new one seemingly popping up every week! I did some digging when it comes to the best of the best hair oils, only to find a new one: Camellia Oil…
SO…WHAT IS IT?
Camellia Oil, or tsubaki oil as it’s called in Japan, is a traditional Japanese flower oil.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT?
Camellia Oil is popular for dry, damaged hair because (like olive oil) it’s high in omega 6 and 9 and fatty acids. These fats work to hydrate your hair and increase it’s elasticity. They also help protect it from breakage.
WILL IT PROTECT MY HAIR FROM AGING?
YES! Another unique thing about Camellia oil is that it contains tons of antioxidants which defend against free radicals aka hair damage and hair-aging.
Personally, I love this oil and think you will too! It soothes dry scalp like a charm and absorbs quickly (a huge perk in hot summer months). Also, it’s meant to be good for ALL hair types, even super course curls.
Curious about Camellia Oil? Try it! You can purchase a pure version (organic, if you can) like this one or you can find it in your fave hair brands like Tatcha’s Gold Camellia Beauty Oil or Shu Uemora’s Essence Absolue Oil-In Cream.
