Tom Ford and Orlando Pita Debut Dramatic ’70s Headscarves

Tom Ford knows how to turn up a hair accessory on the runway, and his show kicking off New York Fashion Week Spring 2019 set the mane mood for the upcoming fashion season: sophisticated drama. Known for his mysteriously sexy styles, this collection built off of last season’s roaring ’20s theme referencing the popular Netflix original series Babylon Berlin–which is set during World War I– and even used show’s theme song as the soundtrack to open the show!

When it came to the hair, Mane Master Orlanda Pita was on official lock duty, drumming up not-too-messy low buns, some of which were adorned with dramatic, silky 70’s-inspired headscarfs that allowed just the perfectly tousled bun to peek out. Last season, model’s sported thick elastic headbands making this spring’s hair accessories feel like an elevated extension from last season.

Are you into the statement-making headscarf? Make sure to come back here to Mane Addicts for more fashion week coverage!
