New Year’s Eve is the ultimate party, and Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany is the ultimate party girl! Her jeweled french twist is just waiting for a flirty, festive NYE celebration. And when it comes to the makeup–a black, glitter lip and liner adds edge, just in case anyone thinks they can kiss you at midnight without asking your permission first. Below, the oh-so-talented Michael Angelo from Wonderland Beauty Parlor in NYC breaks down how to turn yourself into Holly before the clock strikes midnight.

The Look
Hair
Prep the hair for the twist with Shu Uemura Texture Wave and tease upwards before loosely brushing to one side of the head. Place a few vertical bobby pins up the center. Sweep the hair that’s down back toward center, twisting upwards as you go. Secure the back with horizontally placed hairpins, interlocking with the bobby pins as you go. Pull out a few strands around the face to keep the look modern and hold it all in place with Shu Uemura Sheer Lacquer. Add on Jennifer Behr crystal encrusted bobby pins for extra glam and glitter.
Skin
Massage skin with Retrouvé Dynamic Nourishing Face Cream to hydrate it and make it glow before applying RMS “un” cover-up concealer and tinted “un” powder.
Eyes
Matte black and shimmering white eyeshadows from Pat McGrath Mothership I: Subliminal Palette cut the crease and light up the lid and brow bone, Natasha Denona star liner in blackest black with it’s glitter top coat makes NYE sparkle! When working with dark or dramatic eyeshadows it’s a great idea to finish the eyes and clean up any fallout before reapplying skincare and adding any foundation and/or concealer you may like to wear. Kevyn Aucoin false eyelashes are topped with Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL.
Lips
Black lipstick from Makeup Forever is outlined with a good, old fashioned black eyeliner, then glittered with superfine, super affordable WOW glitter in Black.
